Civil Unions coming to NH…Surprise!

Not to forward looking people that vote. Voting in Democrats across the board in NH was a mistake then, now and forever.

As pointed out at Wake up America blog today what did you expect?

What do the state legislators have to do with the federal government and the war? Nothing. You should never vote on a national issue in a local election.

If you didn’t know where the state legislators stood on these issues( except the helium balloons legislation, nobody saw that coming), and you voted for them anyways, shame on you, many of these issues have been voted on before including civil unions and were voted down by the Republicans.

So now I hear many people asking to let the people vote on civil unions, I say you already did last November when you voted for all these changes in New Hampshire. If you didn’t realize how you were voting, shame on you. If you’re a conservative that stayed home to send the president a message, you have no right to complain, you are a big part of what is happening here. Shame on you.

Read more here.

We are going to have to weather another year and hope real damage is not accomplish to destroy the freedom of big government that we now enjoy here in New Hampshire.

At least it is not Gay marriage…

Personally I support civil unions and the benefits it provides, but nothing more.

Next time vote LOCAL and think long term!

A reader’s comment about calling Harry Reid a Traitor…

I received this email that was to convey they were concerned that I called Harry Reid a “Traitor” because he found himself reasoning to agree with Reid.

Well, my first thought was to tell you to stay off the left wing blogs and watch something other than MSNBC. Then, I decided to reply since they took the time to attempt to “reason” with me.

Here is his letter and my reply.

Dear Doc, I stumbled onto your blog while doing some research about Harry Reid. I was led to your entry of the twenty-first concerning “Traitor Harry Reid.” I truly don’t understand why my friends on the right feel that it is necessary to vilify and degrade those with whom they disagree. I know it is nothing new in politics, but as one committed to reason and logic, I find it insulting to the intelligence of the American people. By indulging in this behavior are you not merely trying to inflame passions rather than appeal to the intellect of your readers? You call Harry Reid a moronic idiot solely because you strongly object to a position he champions. I am more inclined towards Reid’s view, and have reasoned my way to that position based upon what seems to me to be rather convincing evidence. So I am an idiot too? You suggest that if the Democratic leaders would only speak in support of the troops the war would “would be over in lighting time.” Are you suggesting that rhetoric can actually bring about a positive change in Iraq? Without intending to sound unkind, I simply find that naive at best. What military victories were ever won by slogans and tough talk? I clicked over to the Malkin cartoon to which you alluded. You honestly believe that is a picture of what is going on? You honestly believe there is some rush to throw up a white flag of surrender before we “win.” The reality is that Bush declared our mission accomplished years ago, and returned sovereignty to the Iraq government some time back. Yet we are still there mired in the midst of civil war we helped to create. Even the administration is now trying to lower expectations of a quick end based upon the recent surge. We are not close to “winning.” And therein lies the rub. And it isn’t just democrats, but the majority of the American people who feel that President Bush is leading us in the wrong direction. I would suggest to you that the majority of us who oppose the administration’s Iraq policy are not anti-American, quitters, or idiots. We are people who have reasoned our way to the conclusion that we are on the wrong track in this thing. If talking can help, it will only by finding a diplomatic and political solution to the Iraq problem, not by indulging in inflaming rhetoric and demagoguery.

Sincerely,

Doug

My reply

Dear Doug,
I could say that the truth hurts huh!
Despite our freedom of speech you cannot have it both ways . Either you support America or the enemy.
Doug please grasp this “Their is NO middle ground”, which is what you and your ilk do not understand.

Believe me, our veterans do not appreciate the likes of Harry Reid or yourself sending them to war an then giving up on them before they complete the mission.
What do you say to them when they tell you telling are making headway and we can win if only the American people stood as one against our enemy.
What…Sorry I think you are wrong and I cannot support you anymore.
Thanks for nothing and by the way that is traitor like when you turn against your country in a time of war. Period!

It is easy for you as you are safe and have sacrifice NOTHING because our military that defends this country has volunteered to do it for you and all they want is your 100% support until the mission is over. The terrorists will not quit until they are dead or understand they cannot defeat a united America.
This will be a long war….face it!!

Ask yourself, who do you support? If you have to support one side or the other I hope it would be the American side! No NOT the Liberal side or Democratic side or the Republican side…. the AMERICAN side against the terrorists that want to destroy our world with their views. Anything less is quitting and raising the white flag.

My opinion and belief as a 20 yr Veteran of two foreign wars.By the way, It is passionate for me and I am inflamed by Harry Reid!

Glad you noticed.
Trust me I am Sincere too,

Doc

Who Won?

As I have seen said elsewhere and especially at Wizbang. Jay asks the question Americans what to know…

So, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says that the Iraq war is lost. As I’ve read a few places, that prompts a rather simple question: if we lost, then who won?

Yea Harry Who won?

Oh that is right you are LIBERAL and do not make those Judgements do you?

Harry would probably say well no one really won as we just quit as it is no longer important to us except in the context that Bush loses and Democrats gain seats because of it. But let’s be clear it is not winning……wink, wink!

 Previous Harry Reid post
You do not deserve to be in the Senate! RESIGN NOW! Oh and take your friends with you.

Does it bother you?

Well, It damn well should if you are really Patriotic and American in your heart.

This is America’s War on Terror!!!

it is NOT as the Democrats say….  Bush’s War!!!!!!

The people have not spoken to turn their back on the troops. If you believe that you are a moron or a traitor to your country if that is America.

This is the biggest PROBLEM with any Liberal or Democrat!!   They are Democrats or Liberals First, before anything else.

And the really sad part of this is they are proud of that fact…

How did they get it so backwards? Too much Pot growing up.  They were mothered too much? They watched RocK Hudson and Tab Hunter instead of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood?

The Democrats have turned on our Military once AGAIN!! If they will not support the troops 100%. I say bring everyone of them Home TODAY, Right NOW.

And give everyone having served 4 or more years the option to retire, today.

Then I want the Democrats to bring back the Draft to protect America and it’s Borders.

Me..Oh I am buying Ammo and a few more weapons to protect my own as I am sure we will be fighting terrorists shortly on Main st.

You Liberals get a clue and a backbone! or get a gun!

Recognition is the best award

A fellow Blogger that was awarded the Thinking Blog award recently took the the time to acknowledge 5 Blogs he feels are worthy of some recognition by him.

This Blog was honored to be in the esteemed list of those five sites.

A Voice Of Reason is one of the blogs that I would have nominated had I received the award first and I highly recommend his blog as a must read.

So now it’s my turn to nominate five blogs, here goes:

opinionnation

A hard hitting conservative blog. Very opinionated as the title suggests.

Political Vindication

Two men fighting the main stream media to hold on to the country they love.

American And Proud

The name says it all.

American Traditionalist

A New Hampshire (my great state) based political blog. With local issues sprinkled in.

New England Republican

A political blog about national politics, and politics local to New England

I am humbled by this as I too started this site 15 months ago as a outlet for my feelings and thoughts on the political landscape. At times it is hard with so many liberal attacks on this country beating us down over and over but I continue pointing out the destructive actions of those that would harm this great nation and our children.

Thanks to mpinkeyes at Wake up America for this mention. His blog is extremely well designed and full of thought provoking posts. Make it a daily read.
