Does anyone have faith in the IAEA?

Not me for one second. Way too much time given to comply.

Michelle Malkin has the scoop here.

Bush Missteps hurting the GOP?

AP post

Republican governors are openly worrying that the Bush administration’s latest stumbles _ from the natural disaster of Hurricane Katrina to those of its own making on prescription drugs and ports security _ are taking an election-year toll on the party back home.

The GOP governors reluctantly acknowledge that the series of gaffes threatens to undermine public confidence in President Bush’s ability to provide security, which has long been his greatest strength among voters.

But it wasn’t Bush’s political opponents alone who saw weaknesses. So did his allies _ listing the days of chaos in New Orleans after the hurricane, the nationwide confusion over the drug prescription program that forced many states to step in to help seniors get medications, and the ports security debacle that has drawn criticism from leading Republicans in Congress and the states.

“I don’t think he was well served on the port issue by the bureaucracy,” said Republican Dirk Kempthorne of Idaho, who is leading a united front of governors pushing back on potential reductions to National Guard forces. “He’s at the forefront on national security. When you combine this flap on the ports, and these potential cuts on the military, you need to make sure that issue doesn’t slip away. It’s one of his strengths.”

He also said the lack of communication from the administration on the Guard issue has been a problem. “There has been too much we have learned outside the loop. It’s time we be inside the loop.”

I think middle management in his Administration is failing and maybe the political appointees are lobbying for their next job instead of staying on top of what they are suppose to be doing. Typical of GOV civilians….no incentive to do a good job and mainly self-serving.

Bush and gang needs to tighten the reins, fire anyone not doing a top notch job! Time to shake up the team some as even I am having a hard time trying support this team. The only thing saving them for a year now is that the Dems are even worst but that is changing as it is getting very hard to be sure about that statement right now…!

Romney has he caught a case of Kerryitus?

Mitt Romney was on Fox News Sunday and was answering a question about Iraq. Matt over at Blogs for Bush thinks he has caught Kerryitus case of flip-flopping on the war but I disagree.

On Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney laid out his conservative credentials and criticized the Bush administration. Romney said “I don’t think we did an adequate job explaining to the American people all the reasons for entering Iraq,” which is completely wrong, and he criticized the UAE port deal.

I know Mitt is on the verge of running for the presidency, but he should save the Iraq flip-flopping to John Kerry and put the Democrats talking points away.

He never said it was a mistake. He just stated what all conservatives and Iraq war supporters know. The Bush administration does a poor job of communicating to the American people. I for one agree. Hell if it was not for the Blogsphere and Talk Radio I would not have a clue why we went into Iraq. They remind us all the time about ignored UN resolutions. The Oil for Food scam and attacks in the no fly zone. Saddam’s supporting of terrorist and his paying sucide bombers in Israel.

It was a good introduction to the voters outside Massachusetts for Mitt and I hope we see more of these. Read the transcript of the interview on Fox News Sunday here.

Hispanics say they feel unwelcome in NH…well…

Do they mean ILLEGAL Hispanics…..damn right! Hispanics that come to America to BECOME American legally are very welcome.

This bleeding heart playing the victim article starts out hoping to portray the people of America and anti Immigrant, hostile and just outright mean to little Spanish speaking Hispanics girls.

But I noticed right away the story is hogwash as it says

Her mother — an English teacher in Cuba — quietly handled the situation.

Well if she was a English teacher in Cuba why did she not start with her own daughter? Maybe she forgot she was in America where we speak English and force our kids to learn Spanish in Florida. (previous article)

But this article fails to mention they are talking about Illegals. Illegals that DO NOT BELONG here in the first place. If we would enforced our existing laws this would not be discussed, as it is anger at our laws be violated and not enforced thus costing us all in taxes that is causing the tension. It is a destruction of our culture which we as AMERICANS have a right too!

When I came here 2½ years ago, there weren’t as many Hispanics and people from other cultures here . . . I felt outnumbered,” said Garcia, 21, a Mexican native whose parents live in Newark, N.J.

“Then I started seeing more Africans. More Hispanics. More everything,” she added.

“I like it better,” Garcia said. “But I don’t think New Hampshire is ready for this. It happened very fast . . . All of a sudden they are seeing we are here to stay, so they are getting scared,” she said.

Increasing tension

Tensions first felt in the immigrant community after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks have increased in recent years with the rapid rise in the number of immigrants and refugees, say immigrant and human rights advocates.

“People are not ready for change. New Hampshire was an all-white state for so long and all of a sudden people starting coming from all over the world,” said Eva Castillo of the New Hampshire Immigrant Rights Task Force.

She and other human rights advocates said bills proposed by some legislators — including one that seeks to expand the state’s criminal trespass law to include undocumented aliens — are contributing to a “culture of fear.”

“The culture is making everybody afraid — everybody that speaks with an accent, everybody that looks different,” Castillo told New Ipswich Police Chief W. Garrett Chamberlain when Chamberlain discussed his efforts to crack down on illegal immigration at the State House Feb. 21.

Chamberlain, whose attempts to charge illegal immigrants under the state’s criminal trespass law last year was declared unconstitutional, said he would like New Hampshire to be the first step to pass legislation that would enable it to enforce immigration laws set down by the federal government.

Calling illegal immigration a “threat to our national security,” Chamberlain said he is “trying to prevent (illegal immigration in) New Hampshire from becoming a true problem, since states like Texas and Nevada will never recover from the influx,”

Such comments trouble Margarita Fernandez, president of the Mexican Association of New Hampshire. She claims Chamberlain and his supporters are inciting fear of immigrants and inflaming it by using unsubstantiated numbers inflating their presence.

“It’s creating a conflict between the Americans and immigrants,” Fernandez said.

Leticia Ortiz of the Governor’s Advisory Committee on Latino Affairs said: “I encounter a lot of people who are in fear and they are here legally. They say, ‘I want to leave this state. I don’t want to stay here and be stopped by the police. ‘”

Phinney said she has never seen tensions reach the current levels in her more than 30 years in New Hampshire.

Well I have never seen so many non English speaking Illegals in my stores, work places and neighborhoods either! I also use to be able to leave my door unlock but not anymore. Same goes for our Borders…Time to lock the borders to protect us inside and our way of life.

Remember if you come to America …..Come to be American and you have no problem. Do it legally and gain a patriotic education.

Whole article here.

And then there is this article about that implies we need to fire white teachers to hire more brown teachers because of the influx of Hispanics to Manchester and Nashua. Two towns that have publically opened their doors to illegal immigrants. Or maybe just hire more teachers thus raise the homeower property taxes. Now that is fair isn’t since most illegals do not own homes thus do not contribute to paying for the schools their children are attending that now needs more brown teachers.

Most importantly, he said, research shows students perform better when they are taught by someone of their own ethnicity.

City Looks South to Recuit New Teachers.

But illegals Hispanic or otherwise …sorry time to go home, leave, just get the hell out!
