Americans had better wake up and get involved. You need to encourage others, especially your friends not paying attention to what is going on. You need to talk about the issues.

Disussing the issues in public gatherings will shed a light on the country and our way of life being stolen while you sleep.

How many times have you found out about a new law or tax  AFTER it was passed or to begin????

The town council of Merrimack, NH has stood strong for defending itself as an American city that speaks English.

Latino people remain free and welcome to come swimming at Naticook Lake at Wasserman Park, but they are not going to find any Spanish-language signs to tell them the park rules.

The town council last night voted 5-0-0 to update the park rules only in the English language, ending a two-week debate that captured national attention and hit at such nerves as public access and immigration.

Finlay Rothhaus, whose grandfather immigrated from Germany in 1921, was the councilor who made the initial objection to the Spanish-language signs, and explained his line of thought to the public last night.

“My concern is that multi-lingual nations have a history of problems, and have no mechanism for unification. If you look to the north, Quebec made a move to secede from Canada, and the vote only failed at 49 percent. I don’t think we want that.”

An identification in the English language enables unity, shared values and public safety, a protective message that was similarly presented by councilor Michael Malzone, and resident Dennis King.

Proponents of English-only signs said that if the town were to adapt Spanish-language signs, the action could develop into a slippery slope with calls for signs in Vietnamese and Portuguese.

Councilor Tim Tenhave argued police retained authority from the law not the language.

Parks director Sherry Kalish brought the debate on Spanish-language signs to a head last month, when she asked for a sign in Spanish per a police department request.

Police say that more than half of the visitors to the park on the weekends are often Latino, and a handful of those visitors do not respect the rules of the park by bringing alcohol, foul language and rough and tumble activity.

Rule-breakers often appeal to language barriers when confronted by police, saying they do not understand the park rules and cannot read the signs. Police, Parks officials and town staff supported an idea of a Spanish-language sign to mitigate those excuses.

The town purchased the Wasserman Park land in 1989 and accepted a package of federal grants and state L-CHIP money for its development, and town officials have had the understanding that the acceptance of those grants ensure that the park remain public.

Town officials yesterday learned the land had been purchased in two separate transactions, and Wasserman beach is not bound to public access. The finding means the town can close the park to out-of-towners, a proposal to be taken up early next year.

If America is not willing to fight a war with all of her might we are doomed to failure. al-Qaeda knows this, as does Osama bin Laden, he has even said as much (thank you, Bill Clinton).

Imagine the hate you feel for your country when all you see is negativity for it all the time? Imagine feeling remorse for the enemy of WWII, the enemy that attacked us unprovoked, and not caring about when America was attacked. People like this believe that America deserves what it gets when it gets it, that all of our transgressions along the way lead us into being attacked. It is very sad.

It is this mindset that will be our downfall. Sometimes tough decisions have to be made and you need strong leaders to do so. People like this believe that if we just mind our own business our enemies will go away. The world will be full of flowers and candy.

This is why we need to stand firm against Liberalism as they are mostly pacifists in fighting against anyone except Republicans, Pro-life supporters or patriotic Americans.

I, for one, do remember Aug. 6th, and August. 9th. 1945, and I say thank you President Truman. Who knows how many American (and Japanese) lives Truman saved in the long run by bringing a swift end to the war?

I think the people in Congress, mostly, Democrats, although I do not know what the hell Sen. Sununu, NH was thinking on this one, think that if you have a foot on our soil and can find you way to a voting booth or two or three that you should be able to cast a vote (hopefully for them since they have afforded you this privilege).
Note I said privelge not RIGHT.

American Citizens inherit a RIGHT but it seems in this country according to 54 Senators and 4 that could not show up to vote, that any swinging dick that can find their way to a voting booth or two or three and represent anyone else that has a RIGHT can cast a vote in an Election. A Election that determines how and who will govern and enforce the laws of this country.

This is OUTRAGEOUS!! Every American, EVERY one of us. should be offended and demand this be reversed.

I want it required that in order to vote you need to produce a photo ID that matches the voter registration rolls.

What I find disheartening and very sad is the comments at Michelle that seem to suggest a “Oh well boys will be boys” attitude about this. Where is the outrage?

Update: Just a thought

Could concerned CITIZENS take up the role of protecting our rights along the lines of the Minutemen and what they did with the border watch?

Could real citizens throw up a perimeter barrier to check the citizenship of all attempting to enter a voting station. I realize voters are not to be intimidated and those requirements but is there  a way we could protect our rights while not interfering with others that have the right to vote.

Maybe, Just maybe to ONLY way to stop voter fraud is for the People with the right to vote protect the right ourselves. Either that of Demand photo ID and proof of citizenship to even register.

Otherwise, I fear all rules are out and the Dems will steal the next election. Yes, I said the Dems because when you look at what is being done to undermine our laws, remember this is a country based on the rule of law, it is the Democrats and left wing liberals that are anti-law and do everything they can to undermine or eliminate any way of enforcing them.
